Privacy policy

This explains what The Mends Edit collects when you shop with us, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

Who we are

What we collect

• When you order: your name, phone number, region, area and delivery address or GhanaPost GPS, your email if you give it, what you bought and how you chose to pay.
• Payments: Paystack processes MoMo and card payments. We never see your card number or MoMo PIN; we only receive a payment reference and whether it went through.
• If you join our list: the email address or WhatsApp number you give us.
• Back-in-stock alerts: the phone number you leave so we can tell you when an item returns.
• On your device: your bag is saved in your browser so it’s still there when you come back. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

• To process, deliver and support your order, and to contact you about it.
• To send news and offers, only if you joined our list. You can leave at any time.
• To keep the records we need for accounting and the law, and to prevent fraud.

Who we share it with

• Paystack, to take payments and issue refunds.
• Our riders and delivery partners, who get your name, phone number and address to deliver your order.
• Google Firebase, which hosts our store’s database and photos (servers in the European Union).

We don’t sell your information or share it for anyone else’s marketing.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for [retention period] for accounting and legal reasons. List and alert details are kept until you ask us to remove them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted where we don’t need to keep it, or stop marketing messages. Contact us at [Contact email] or [Phone / WhatsApp number]. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to Ghana’s Data Protection Commission.
